The results of the EXPOCERTInno Project
The results of the EXPOCERTInno Project were presented to the representatives of the business community and media. During the project, the companies from the metal processing and wood processing sectors were provided with several business support services in the areas of internationalization, certification, and innovation. Today, an innovative e-learning platform named Digital Academy was officially launched as well, where the employees of B&H companies will be able to use multimedia training modules related to various business topics necessary for successful business operations. Four such multimedia modules with different topics in the field of digital marketing were developed during this Project. In addition to the above, six B&H companies received free-of-charge consulting services in the preparation of complete technical documentation required for the harmonization of their products with the requirements of EU standards to place CE mark on their products and to meet other European standards which will subsequently allow them to export to EU markets without any restrictions. The project has also helped B&H companies to conduct innovation management capacity assessments and has enabled them to learn how to use available EU funds to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
One of the beneficiary companies that set the CE mark is the company HST Energetics doo from Gračanica. This company has started the production of innovative heating boilers on pellets with extremely high energy efficiency. The other two companies (Džajkić doo Širok Brijeg and Teams CNC doo Kalesija) have successfully placed CE marks on their CNC machines that are tailor-made for their demanding clients. As of today, the company Fiko Commerc SF doo Cazin will export its trapezoidal roof sheets to the European Union with the CE mark while the company Glovis doo from Zenica has fully harmonized its playgrounds with the requirements of the European standard BAS EN 1176. Another very innovative product from Bosnia and Herzegovina will find its place in the EU markets in the future and that is the construction coatings made of thermally treated wood. This product has been produced by the company Alba Uniprom doo from Sarajevo.
Ms Amela Obhodžaš, executive director of the company Alba Uniprom d.o.o. said that as a company that exports products, a certificate for export to the markets of Western Europe is very important, which not only facilitates the processes, but also confirms the quality of B&H products.
EXPOCERTInno Project has been implemented for 18 months, and the total value of the project is BAM 278.950, out of which BAM 223.100 is financed by the EU through the EU4Business project. The leading implementer of the project is the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina in partnership with the INTERA Foundation for Innovation and Technology Development and the company INAf doo Sarajevo.
