Background
The Project EU4Business Recovery, funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and jointly implemented by the ILO, GIZ, and UNDP, has an overall objective to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in mitigating the economic effects generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Within the Project, the ILO aims to provide support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the textile, apparel, leather and footwear sectors, in ensuring business continuity and thus increasing their resilience by providing an integrated support package consisting of grants and technical assistance. Technical assistance will be delivered through Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Programme and development of Business Continuity Plans and/or Factory Improvement Plans (BCP/FIP) that will lead to cleaner production, productivity upgrades and increased competitiveness of the companies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will participate in the SCORE Training (Training of Trainers) led by an international Expert Trainer through a combination of classroom and field training. The first part of the Training (classroom) will be delivered online and the field training (in-house consultations) will take place in selected factories. Trainer candidates will be involved in presenting and coaching companies’ management and workers under the guidance of the Expert Trainer. After certification, the Trainers will be contracted by ILO to provide SCORE Training to selected companies. All training candidates are expected to:
- Participate in the ILO SCORE Basics Training including co-trainings with SCORE Expert Trainer for pilot trainings with participating SMEs
- Conduct Training of Enterprises on areas such as
- Workplace cooperation
- Quality Management
- Cleaner production and environmental business management
- Human Resource Management
- Occupational Safety and Health,
including classroom training, baseline and progress assessments and on-site enterprise consulting
- Maintain and improve quality of training by following SCORE quality standards
- Provide feedback on the training materials used for SCORE training
- Promote the SCORE training programme to SMEs
- Promote the ILO message “Job quality is good business” i.e. that improving management-workers relations and working conditions improves enterprise productivity
- Participate in the Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Business Continuity Planning using the ILO standard approach/methodology relevant to BCP for SMEs, including but not limited to:
- Understanding the Key challenges/Risks for SMEs’ post Pandemics and crisis with a focus on Textile, Apparel and Footwear industries in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Understanding the Key Steps to Manage Business Continuity
- Supporting SMEs in adopting the BCP Steps
- Evaluating the SMEs Plans and Provide the necessary support (Mentoring/Coaching)
- Facilitation and training tips for trainers.
Qualifications and experience
- A recognized university degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Overall working experience of more than 5 years with minimum of 3 years in conducting enterprise consulting and training on one or more areas such as
- Workplace cooperation
- Quality Management
- Cleaner production and environmental business management
- Human Resource Management
- Occupational Safety and Health
- Good knowledge of supply chain management, business practices, voluntary standards and laws pertaining to social, environmental and quality systems.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills;
- Excellent coaching and facilitation skills at levels varying from unskilled workers to top management of organizations;
- Excellent management and reporting skills;
- Awareness for gender equality concerns and gender-bias;
- Sensitivity and adaptability to culture, gender, religion, nationality and age;
- Openness to change and ability to receive/integrate feedback.

Selection
Candidates will be subject to a screening and evaluation of qualifications.
