Starting from 28.11.2019, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina can directly apply for grant support under the 2nd Call for Proposals for export-oriented sectors, initiated by EU4Business. 

Grant fund worth EUR 1,5 million is available for projects that increase the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through innovation:

• development of products/services through new approaches
• in pre-production, production and post-production,

for example, utilization of equipment on a higher technological level, the introduction of standards and certification, digitalisation and introduction of e-business, related in-company training of management and staff, etc. 

Applicants within this Call can be legal entities from BIH belonging to the category of MSMEs. Financial grants are up to EUR 100.000 per project. 

Beneficiaries are MSMEs and entrepreneurs. The results will be measured in new jobs, with a focus on women and youth, increased export and increased number of innovations among the targeted MSMEs. 

Project ideas of the applicants must relate to the metal and mechanical industry or wood processing sector. MSMEs registered in the Plastic and Electric sectors are eligible if they implement projects in the metal and mechanical industry. MSMEs registered in the sector of information and communication technologies can also apply if they implement projects in the targeted manufacturing sectors. 

The eligible area is the whole territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

• Zenica, Hotel Zenica, 03.12.2019, at 11:00 hrs.
• Brčko District BiH, Hotel Jelena, 04.12.2019, at 11:00 hrs.
• Banja Luka, Hotel Jelena, 05.12.2019, at 11:00 hrs.
• Mostar, Hotel Mostar, 09.12.2019, at 11:00 hrs.
• Trebinje, Hotel Leotar, 10.12.2019, at 11:00 hrs.

All interested parties are invited to attend info-sessions. All qualified parties are invited to submit their applications, including the supporting documentation, by no later than Monday, 03.02.2020, at 16:00 hrs. 

Proposals in response to this Call must be submitted in accordance with the Guidelines for Applicants, which can be downloaded via the Application Portal at eu4business.ba.  

Overall, EUR 10 million is available in grants within the EU4Business projects for strengthening BIH’s economy and employment, through the development of competitiveness and innovation in selected sectors. EU4Business is worth EUR 16.1 million. It is jointly funded by the European Union (EUR 15 million) and the Federal Republic of Germany (EUR 1.1 million). The project is jointly implemented by GIZ, UNDP and ILO, from April 2018 to March 2022.
