
35 companies in the agri-food sector in BiH improved their business thanks to the EU4Business project
The European Union (EU) project EU4Business organized a panel discussion yesterday in Celinac on the topic “Importance of modernization of processing capacities in the agri-food sector – challenges and perspectives”, with accompanying promotion of products of successfully realized investments of the EU4Business project.
Within the event, the companies that received grants within the EU4Business project were presented: Winery Jungic from Celinac (wine sector), Vimar-Visoko (meat industry sector),
Eco cheese Pudja-Livno (dairy sector), Farmavit-Ljubinje (vegetable sector), Poljorad (dairy sector), Ml Trivas-Prnjavor (meat industry sector). A total of 82 companies throughout BiH were supported through grants through the EU4Business project.
The Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to BiH Stefano Ellero emphasized that the European Union provides support to BiH companies in order to become more competitive on the market, with a special focus on digitalization and the green agenda of their business.
EU4Business Project Manager Ismar Ceremida said that the support of the EU4Business project is especially important for the BiH agricultural sector, which contributes approximately seven percent to gross national income and has a strong role in the development of the BiH economy.
This event was a great opportunity for representatives of institutions, companies, partner organizations and the media to get acquainted with EU4Business support for investment in processing capacity and marketing of agri-food products, as well as innovation and success that the companies achieve with the support of the European Union.
The projects are implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in BiH in partnership with the Czech Development Agency (for EU4AGRI) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the International Labor Organization (ILO) (for EU4Business).
